GEorgiana viou

CHEF

NIMES, FRANCE

Originally from Benin, Chef Georgiana came to France when she was a young adult. Her culinary success started with winning 3rd place in the Le Tattinger des Cordons Bleus competition in 2009. The following year, she was a finalist on the culinary TV show Masterchef in France. Her vibrant personality led to amazing collaborations with famous chefs, and even an appearance on Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown. In 2015, Georgiana opened her first restaurant Chez Georgiana in Marseille, for which she won 2 toques Gault & Millau and the Young Talent of the Year award. She also had her own TV show under the same name. Georgiana is now the lead chef at the newly-opened restaurant Rouge in Nîmes, where her cuisine is inspired by the Mediterranean terrain where she lives and the richness of her Beninese heritage. She recently published a Benin-inspired cookbook called Cotonou (currently only available in French). In March 2023, she was awarded a coveted star from the Michelin Guide, known around the world as gastronomy’s holy grail. Toutes nos félicitations!
