Charlotte Bartoli
co-founder Distillerie de l’Arbre Sec
PARIS, FRANCE
Born in the heart of Paris, Charlotte went on to study at the prestigious Glion hospitality school in Switzerland. Over the next few years, she traveled and worked for major hotel groups in Ireland, China, and the United States. While working in San Francisco, she developed a deep passion for spirits—gin in particular.
Determined to master the art of distillation, she trained with a grower-distiller in Alsace before attending spirits courses at the International Spirit Center in Cognac. She then joined the newly established Ergaster distillery in northern France, where she oversaw production and worked alongside Hervé Grangeon to create the first batches of gin and whisky. Later, Charlotte joined La Maison du Whisky, France’s leading spirits marketplace, where she curated casks for prestigious small-batch whiskies.
Her fateful encounter with Charlotte Buisson Dackow was a revelation—realizing their shared passion and vision, they decided to join forces to co-found La Distillerie de l'Arbre Sec.
