Valeria Antolin

WINEMAKER, PIATTELLI WINERY

Valeria Antolin was born in Mendoza Argentina and she comes from a family of winemakers. She is a 4th Generation winemaker. She studied at the Liceo Agrícola y Enológico, where she graduated with an agricultural winemaking degree. Next she graduated as an agronomist engineer at the Facultad de Ciencias Agronómicas of the National University of Cuyo. She won a scholarship to take some courses in Purpan University in France.

She produced a harvest with the large Foncalieu Cooperative, south of France, taking charge of classifying vineyards. She also produced a harvest in Oregon, in the United States. In Mendoza she started in the business at a young age with her father in the manufacturing of sparkling wine, then she worked in Viña Cobos and Dolium and finally became technical Director at Piattelli Vineyards in 2003. She currently takes charge of not only winemaking but also overseeing the vineyards.
