Mariana Filipe

Mariana Filipe is the ceramicist and entrepreneur behind MALGA. From 2008 to 2015 Mariana studied Visual Arts, Industrial and Product Design, Sculpture and Pottery. Her career in the arts has always been versatile and closely linked to crafts. With a very strong connection to the object, her work is currently focused on the creation and production of utilitarian ceramic pieces - under MALGA, a brand she created in 2015. Her goal has always been to explore everyday objects and use materials in their purest form. Mariana’s favorite pieces are the traditional ones - original, functional, beautiful and imperfect.
